The ACTS model provides a framework for structuring prayer, covering various essential elements. Each letter represents a key component:

• Adoration
• Confession
• Thanksgiving
• Supplication

By incorporating adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication, the ACTS model guides us through worship, repentance, gratitude, and petition - creating a holistic, Biblical approach to prayer.

Adoration refers to worshipping and exalting God, expressing our love and admiration for Him. Begin by praising and exalting God, expressing your admiration and devotion to Him. This could involve singing hymns, reciting psalms, or declaring His attributes and glory.

To confess means to agree with God about our sins - the thoughts, words, and actions that have displeased Him. Honestly acknowledge your sins and shortcomings before God. Agree with Him that you have fallen short and ask for His forgiveness, which restores your fellowship (1 John 1:9).

While adoration focuses on who God is, thanksgiving focuses on thanking Him for what He has done - His blessings, provisions, salvation, etc. Express gratitude to God for His love, salvation, protection, provision, and all the blessings He has bestowed upon you. Supplication refers to making requests and petitions to God, both for our own needs and the needs of others. Make requests and petitions known to God, both for your own needs and those of others. Supplicate for mercy, guidance, wisdom (James 1:5), and intercede diligently for fellow believers (Ephesians 6:18).
