United Christian Faith Ministries Launches First Community Event at New Florida Boulevard Campus with “Blessings & Bargains: Community Hope Market”

The community-wide garage sale marks milestone in church expansion; offers affordable household and office goods and free vendor space to welcome neighbors

BATON ROUGE, La. — Feb. 21, 2026 — United Christian Faith Ministries (UCFM) will host its first major community event at its newly acquired Florida Boulevard campus with “Blessings & Bargains: Community Hope Market,” a community-wide garage sale, on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 15151 Florida Blvd.

The Community Hope Market marks a significant milestone in the church’s expansion journey and serves as an official welcome to nearby residents, families, and local businesses. Designed as both a practical outreach and a community-building experience, the event combines the scale and value of a large garage sale with the heart of neighborhood connection.

Shoppers can expect a wide selection of affordable household goods, clothing, furniture, office furniture, equipment, and storage solutions—items curated to support families, entrepreneurs, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations.

“This is about more than a garage sale,” said Dr. Mark A. Ellis Sr., Senior Pastor of United Christian Faith Ministries. “It’s about opening our doors, meeting our neighbors, and being a practical resource to the community. We want people to know we’re here, we care, and we’re committed to serving this area well.”

The Florida Boulevard campus was acquired in October 2025 as part of UCFM’s Builders of the Kingdom Capital Campaign. Over the next 12 to 15 months, the property will be developed to include a new sanctuary, a K–8 Academic Learning Academy, a wellness center, and an entrepreneurship hub—further expanding the ministry’s impact in the region.

Community Invited to Tour New Facility and Learn More

Baton Rouge, La. — October 18, 2025 — As United Christian Faith Ministries (UCFM) celebrates its 24th Church Anniversary this month, the ministry marks another milestone with the purchase of the former Direct General call center property located at 15151 Florida Boulevard, advancing its long-term vision to expand its reach and impact across the Baton Rouge community.

The acquisition includes 35 acres and a 140,000 square-foot facility, which will be transformed into a vibrant hub for worship, education, wellness, entrepreneurship, and community engagement. The purchase represents years of prayer, planning, and fundraising as we have grown to meet the needs of our expanding congregation and the greater Baton Rouge region.

To continue this growth, UCFM recently launched the Builders of the Kingdom Capital Campaign, a $3.5 million initiative focused on the renovation of the property to house a new temporary sanctuary, K–8 school, wellness center, and more.

Founded in 2001 by Dr. Mark A. Ellis Sr. with just seven members, UCFM has grown to more than 2,000 members and over 40 active ministries, serving Baton Rouge and beyond through education, outreach, and spiritual development.

Adoration: Adore God that his faithfulness extends to every generation. Adore God that his love, mercy and might continues from generation to generation;

Confession: Confess and consent that we are the generation that will seek the face of the Lord. Confess and repent for not telling generations, past and present about the mighty works of God;

Thanksgiving: Thank God that he listen to the prayers and pleas of those that trust him. Thank God for every generation that is represented at UCFM, thank God for greater collaboration and wisdom among the generations at UCFM;

Supplication: Ask God to bless, prosper and sustain each member at UCFM, let there be a greater appreciation for each generation at UCFM among each other. Supplication: Ask God for a new anointing upon Pastor Ellis and UCFM for growth, expansion and kingdom influence. Ask that God’s love be perfected at UCFM, that a revelation of the love of God is receive that fear maybe driven out.

Lord we thank you for this new month that you have blessed us to experience. We pray for and expect a great outpouring of your spirit among us. Let each of us have an undeniable encounter with you that changes us forever. We pray for the strength and endurance
of Pastor Ellis, let him be recharged, renewed and restored in every area of his life. Week 1 - The Holy Spirit’s Work: Examining Ourselves to Bear the Fruit of Repentance

Adoration: Adore and praise God for the truth of his word, adore him for being holy and righteous and that we can walk in true righteousness because of the finished work of Christ. Adore God that as we abide in his  presence, he is molding & shaping us into the image of Christ.

Confession: Confess that we practice daily examination of ourselves, that we have a heart posture of true repentance. Acknowledge that we have not always had an acceptable heart posture when repenting to God. Confess that we don’t just say that we are sorry, but our behavior reflects our confession of repentance.

Thanksgiving: Give thanks unto God that all things that were impure have now been made clean through his blood. Give thanks unto God that we have access to God through Jesus Christ, thank him for grace, mercy, and the ability to see our sin and to ask for and receive forgiveness.

Supplication: Pray that when the Gospel is preached the holy spirit will fall upon the people, that god will continue to work his mightily through the teachings on self-examination & the new man. Pray that through UCFM souls will be saved and there will be continual dying to the flesh, pray that through obedience the vision of UCFM will come to pass, Pray that believers would seek to bear out good fruit through repentance and the journey of faith.

Week 2 - What Shall We See? Miracles, Signs and Wonders

Adoration: Adore and praise God for his great works and mighty acts; Adore and praise God as the “I AM that I AM”.

Confession: Confess and declare that the Lord will use the members of UCFM to perform special miracles, confess our willingness and submission to being used by God’s Spirit; Confess and declare that because we believe miracles, signs and wonders shall follow us.

Thanksgiving: Give thanks to God for the mighty power that is available to us through God’s Spirit; Give thanks to God for his love for us, that he has equipped us to walk in the power of his Spirit Give thanks to God that he has promised that we shall do great works in the earth;

Supplication: Ask God for an increased spirit of belief among the members of UCFM, miracles, signs and wonders may begin to manifest among us; Ask God to prompt the body of UCFM to begin to stir their spiritual gifts, lets the gifts manifest and operate; Ask God to equip Pastor Ellis with increased insight, wisdom and spiritual power, let the members receive and impartation.

Week 3 - Amazing Faith that Yields Mind-Blowing Possibilities

Thanksgiving: Give thanks to God for increasing and strengthening our faith; Give thanks to God for meeting and answering us at the point of our faith and expectation

Supplication: Ask God that the members of UCFM would feed and increase themselves in the spirit, thereby strengthening and using their faith in the spirit realm; Ask God to help the members to believe and have faith in God’s promises.

Week 4 - Stay in the Seek

Adoration: Adore and praise God for as the Great I AM that has shown himself to be true. Adore and praise him for opened doors, hearts turned toward him and honor him for his divine nature.

Confession: Confess that we have not always sought the lord with all of our heart, we confess that the door to our hearts are now open to the Spirit of God and to true intimacy with God. Confess that we have not been faithful in staying on our faces before him and denying our flesh, Lord give us a desire to know you deeply and intimately.

Thanksgiving: Give thanks to God for a desire for the presence of God, that we seek a genuine relationship with God and not just the things that he can give us; Give thanks to God that he answers and responds to those that diligently seek him.

Supplication: Ask God to put a true hunger and seek in the members of UCFM; Ask God that the fire and passion for God would burn fiercely and be a contagious fire.

Week 1 - We Consent to New Clothes

Adoration: We adore God for giving understanding of the new man, for opening our eyes to divine truth; Adore God for the Spirit of Truth & the revelation of who we are in Christ, our true identity & nature.

Confession: We confess the sin of not living according to the spirit that dwells within us and not acknowledging the need to be re-clothed and dressed in his righteousness; We confess that we shall live & move forward in his likeness and the image we have been created in.

Thanksgiving: Give thanks unto God that he is not like man, that he will take his time molding, & shaping us into his kingdom minded believers and that we are doers of his Word as kingdom believers.
Thank God that in this season & time he is molding us into faith filled truth seekers, those who seek to do his will & live according to the kingdom.

Supplication: Pray that God will continue to speak through Pastor Ellis teachings, and the teachings of how to walk in our new man will infiltrate our minds & hearts and the body will produce good works for his kingdom; Pray that God will move on behalf of those in the city of Baton Rouge and surrounding areas to continue to come into the body, and work in their kingdom assignments.

Our Father and King,

We praise and honor you for your faithfulness, grace and sovereignty. We thank you for this new month, full of your favor, increase and new opportunities.

We now position ourselves for an increase of your presence, an increase of knowledge of the kingdom and an increase of fruitfulness. We pray for an increased spirit of thankfulness, gratitude and a greater appreciation of who you are as our father. We thank you for joy and contentment in every circumstance that we encounter, for you promised to never leave or forsake us.

When we see lawlessness and injustice from those who are paid to uphold the law, there has to be swift action.
Here are a few things communities of color can do when we see this from law enforcement .
1. Leadership Publicly denounce the behavior - (press conference, rally -and or letter to our governmental leadership who are elected to protect and uphold law and order.)
2. Demand justice and the family paid compensatory damages
3. Pray for justice and healing - (the root of this is fear- hate and ignorance )
4. Ensure the victims family is supported during this crisis time ( gofundme - benevolence support if needed - be respectful to the Family)
4 . Hold town halls and strategy sessions with citizens and the law enforcement community to discuss prevention ( hiring- training - encountering law enforcement etc...
5. Raise up God fearing - loving responsible citizens who are willing to pursue a career in law enforcement and civic leadership ( if we don’t raise up our leaders where will we find them?)
Lastly in-spite of what we experience, let us not turn on each other because we don’t see from some what we think we ought to see in their leadership. However, we must hold leadership accountable for leadership and action.
