Designed as both a practical outreach and a community-building experience, the event combines the scale and value of a large garage sale with the heart of neighborhood connection.<br><br>Shoppers can expect a wide selection of affordable household goods, clothing, furniture, office furniture, equipment, and storage solutions—items curated to support families, entrepreneurs, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations.<br><br>“This is about more than a garage sale,” said Dr. Mark A. Ellis Sr., Senior Pastor of United Christian Faith Ministries. “It’s about opening our doors, meeting our neighbors, and being a practical resource to the community. We want people to know we’re here, we care, and we’re committed to serving this area well.”<br><br>The Florida Boulevard campus was acquired in October 2025 as part of UCFM’s Builders of the Kingdom Capital Campaign. The purchase represents years of prayer, planning, and fundraising as we have grown to meet the needs of our expanding congregation and the greater Baton Rouge region.<br><br>To continue this growth, UCFM recently launched the Builders of the Kingdom Capital Campaign, a $3.5 million initiative focused on the renovation of the property to house a new temporary sanctuary, K–8 school, wellness center, and more.<br><br>Founded in 2001 by Dr. Mark A. Ensure the victims family is supported during this crisis time ( gofundme - benevolence support if needed - be respectful to the Family)<br>4 . Hold town halls and strategy sessions with citizens and the law enforcement community to discuss prevention ( hiring- training - encountering law enforcement etc...<br>5. Raise up God fearing - loving responsible citizens who are willing to pursue a career in law enforcement and civic leadership ( if we don’t raise up our leaders where will we find them?)<br>Lastly in-spite of what we experience, let us not turn on each other because we don’t see from some what we think we ought to see in their leadership.
